Frequently Asked Questions

All you need to do is email us to say you would like to go ahead, we then work out all timings and send over confirmation to you.

 

Once we have taken your booking we will email you a booking confirmation with a unique booking reference.  Please check this carefully as this specifies the times and dates of your journey and the mobile number the driver will use to contact you.

If you have not received confirmation, please check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not in there then please contact the office.

We monitor all flights to check if flights are arriving on time or delayed. Only if your flight is severely delayed, cancelled or you are on another flight you would need to contact us.

If your flight is diverted mid flight you would need to contact us as soon as you land, extra charges may apply.

We can provide this service.  Our drivers can escort you into the airport and help with luggage or to assist with minors.  Just let the office know when booking. (additional fees apply)

This will be on your confirmation letter but please see below all meeting points.

Gatwick (either terminal) Costa Coffee

Heathrow Terminal 2 WH Smiths

Heathrow Terminal 3 Caffe Nero

Heathrow Terminals 4 & 5 Costa Coffee

For Stansted, Luton and London City there are dedicated pickup and drop off points outside the terminals (If you wish wanting to be met in the arrivals hall please let the office know – an extra  charge may apply.)

At Southend we will be in the Arrivals hall

To change bookings, you can always give us a call on 01227 371371 or email us on sales@chestfieldcars.co.uk. If you need to change within 24hours notice please phone to make sure, this is possible.

If you need to cancel a booking please phone on 01227 371371 or email us on sales@chestfieldcars.co.uk.

We require at least 24 hours notice.

We can take a maximum of 4 soft-shelled cases and hand luggage in a standard estate vehicle. If you require more than this please contact the office on 01227 371371.

If you or a member of your party has special assistance, please let the office know.

We have a limited supply of all types of child seats. If you prefer to use your own child seat we can look after the child seat and return the child seat on the return part of the journey.

We can provide multiple pickups/ drop offs but this would need to booked through the office in advance. (extra charges will apply).

Payments are made to the driver in full on the outbound journey by either cash or card. We no longer accept cheques.  The amount to pay is shown on your confirmation.

Where the first journey is inbound we may ask you to pay in advance to the office.

For outbound journeys, your drivers should contact you 30 minutes before pickup. If you have not been contacted by this time please call the driver on the number sent to you or, failing that, please use our emergency 24-hour number that was sent with your confirmation.

For airport arrivals, your driver will contact you shortly after you have landed. If you have not been contacted by the time you are collecting your luggage then please call the emergency 24-hour number that was sent with your confirmation.
